This Tuesday, March 28, our 4th graders will take the STAAR Writing Test.  They have been working very hard to prepare.  Here are some tips to insure a successful day:

  • Go to bed early
  • Eat a good breakfast
  • Be on time for school
  • Students must bring their own lunch or purchase from the Cafeteria on test days.  No food brought in for lunch will be allowed.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 20 – 24, 2017

MONDAY – SCHOOL HOLIDAY!  

We are running low on antibacterial wipes during this cold and flu season.  If you are able, we would appreciate your child bringing another package to school so that we may avoid germs.  Thank you to those who already sent a package!

Writing Homework will be sent home Tuesday to be completed and turned in by Thursday.

EARLY RELEASE WEDNESDAY at 12:00 due to teacher training

Writing homework will come home on Monday and must be returned Thursday.  Thank you for your support in preparing our students for the STAAR Writing test.  This week I was very pleased with the participation.  

Spelling words for our test Thursday are January No Excuse Words which include a few homophones and frequently misspelled words.

MONDAY – Enjoy your School Holiday!

Beginning this week, students will be given Writing homework to return to school on Thursday.  This homework offers additional practice which aids our preparation for the STAAR Writing Test that will take place the last week in March.  Thank you for supporting your child’s success.
